A fact of life

This is one of the reasons I love xkcd: occasionally Randall Munroe's thoughts and mine coincide. You could substitute any programming language you like for Perl in this graph, and it would still be true.

If only mainstream state education could find some way of catering to the brighter students for free. In fact, why doesn't the government pump more cash into state education for equipment, books, computers, vehicles (to ferry students to and from off-site activities) and staff? Probably the same reason that higher education is so damn expensive and painted as a fool's errand for all but the most toffee-nosed of children. Besides, where would the next generation of cannon fodder come from?

ENTP

I took the Myers-Briggs test (technically, I re-took it, as I took it before but forgot my result). Now, I don't know if this is an accurate reading, but I scored as an ENTP: Extroverted (44%) iNtuitive (62%) Thinking (1%) Perceiving (11%).

This means that I am, apparently,
  • moderately expressed extravert
  • distinctively expressed intuitive personality
  • slightly expressed thinking personality
  • slightly expressed perceiving personality
Take the test yourself (the title of this blog links to humanmetrics.com).

This type love

Shihan from Def Poetry Jam.

This is exactly what I am looking for, despite all my apparent bitterness and the layers of crazy.

43 Things

Taking a cue from ThinkerGonemad, I've decided to try and make a list of 43 goals.

The list is currently ten items long, but I will eventually populate it with genuine and honest goals for life, love, health and wealth.

I just hope I can achieve at least the basics.

Playing records

A couple weeks ago my good friend Kreza and I played a back-to-back show on his internet radio station.

A lot of laughs were had by all, and we recorded it for your delectation here.

Why I'm single

Personally, I would:

su -c 'make -target=$me Sandwich 2>/dev/null'

That way, the jibba-jabba goes to the Byte Bucket, and I get my damn sandwich with root privileges.

I'm pretty much screwed.

Disclaimer: I know make doesn't support a -target flag, so back up off the nuts already.
